La Redneck Yacht Club

There are so many places that specialize in great food and others are a really fun bar but few can pull off both. Swamp Waters is just such a place. It is an awesome place where you can come by boat or car. You can sit at the bar and have a cold beer, mix drink, world famous "Frozen Swamp Water" or get a table and order from their full menu. Try the gator bites, they are highly recommended by the Club.

A great bar that is accessible by boat or car. Reasonable prices, fuel, great live entertainment and never a cover charge. They even stock Busch, beer that is!

An awesome restaurant located in beautiful down town French Settlement. While they have great seafood and a full bar, they are famous for their steaks. My personal favorite is their Hamburger Steak, it has got to be one of the biggest and best tasting I have ever had. And they stock Busch too!!!!

Thursday Nights from 5pm until 9pm is Steak Night . For only $9.00, you get a 12-13 oz Prime Rib, Baked patato, salad and extra toppings (mushrooms &  onions)!

Ok now let’s see, you have checked the river. You have checked every bar and restaurant along the river and you still can’t find the Redneck Yacht Club? Check the home page and see if the weather is warm and the wind is calm. If so, we have probably went across the lake to the coolest bar around. The Gators Den is located on the old highway 51 in Manchac, Louisiana. Or you can head straight across the lake, either way it makes for a great trip.

 Here's is another great place that the Redneck Yacht Club likes to hang out together ! You can launch your boat or just sit a while.  Come by land or water there's nothing like sitting around the round table with friends, having your own waitress who always makes sure you are happy! Come on out, enjoy and lets make some memories!

Sun Bun's is the place to be in the summer time! Always exciting, always something happening every Saturday. Great music, food and service. If you have not been to Sun Bun's make plans to go this summer you will not regret it!

Over the years there have been only a handful of places that have achieved legendary status. Fred’s On The River is just such a place and it is in our own backyard. Fred’s is the premier spot for live local entertainment as well as national artiest. Now Fred’s may not be able to put this in an advertisement but I love to go to Fred’s, get a cold adult beverage and sit on the deck and watch newbies to the river develop their launching skills. Now that is my idea of local entertainment.

Recently I came across one of the neatest places that I have been in a while. It is called The Crab Trap Boiled Seafood Restaurant. Nothing better than cold beer and hot Louisiana seafood on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain. The Crab Trap is located in Frenier Louisiana which is just north of Laplace on Hwy. 51.
